Efficient dialysis water treatment with MDR compliance

Project requirements

In Kosovo, new dialysis centres are under construction and existing facilities are being brought into line with European MDR requirements. The project needed a reliable water treatment system for a specialist centre with 20 to 25 treatment stations. In addition to high process reliability, the focus was on compliance with standards, consistent water quality and a robust concept for nationwide expansion. The visit by Kosovo’s Prime Minister Albin Kurti to the dialysis centre underscores the importance of the project.

Herco solution

We delivered a ready-to-connect dialysis water treatment system with comprehensive pre-treatment to ensure the reliable operation of a new dialysis centre. The solution meets MDR requirements, is designed for medical use and provides a robust foundation for further installations in Kosovo. Implementation, commissioning, maintenance, training and remote maintenance were all incorporated into the overall concept.

Plant engineering

The system combines a compact reverse osmosis unit with tailored pre-treatment, digital control and high operational reliability for continuous use in the treatment of dialysis water.
