From 21 to 23 October 2025, Herco was attending the Hydrogen Technology Expo Europe in Hamburg. With more than 20,000 visitors, this international trade fair is considered the largest exhibition for technologies related to the production, storage and use of hydrogen. Around 1,000 exhibitors and numerous forums provided a comprehensive overview of current developments along the entire value chain.
Our colleagues Leon Grigoleit, Cesar Pinto and Robert Klamser demonstrated on site how reliable water treatment supports the efficiency and stability of electrolysis processes – a crucial factor for the economic production of green hydrogen. Also on board: our OPEX case study, which shows how intelligent water treatment can save up to 25 % in operating costs.
A key topic at the trade fair was the production of green hydrogen and the further development of electrolysers. Technical presentations and discussion panels highlighted the technical, operational and sustainability aspects of a scalable hydrogen economy – from cost reduction to efficiency improvement. Under the motto ‘Green hydrogen needs pure water’, Herco provided information on the role that the right water quality plays in hydrogen production. Without precisely treated process water, electrolysis cannot be stable or efficient.
We would like to thank you all for the numerous interesting discussions and the great interest shown in our system solutions. Special thanks go to our colleagues at the stand, who represented Herco with great commitment.
See you again soon – fully committed to green hydrogen.
