EMAS certificate confirms our commitment to sustainability

On 15 December 2025, Herco Wassertechnik once again received the EMAS certificate from the Stuttgart Region Chamber of Industry and Commerce. The certification confirms our ongoing commitment to environmental and climate protection and the successful implementation of an effective environmental management system. As an EMAS-certified plant manufacturer, sustainability is firmly anchored in Herco's corporate strategy. We are continuously working to measurably improve our environmental performance along the entire process chain. The binding environmental targets of our environmental policy are decisive in this regard.  

With the publication of our latest environmental statement, we are making our progress in this area transparent. The results show that key environmental indicators have been reduced once again. For example, annual energy consumption in relation to turnover has been further reduced. It is particularly pleasing that the target originally set for 2030 in terms of water consumption in relation to turnover has already been achieved.  

Further important milestones were also achieved in 2025. In October 2025, for example, the comprehensive energy modernisation of our site began. By 2028, we expect to have implemented an integrated decarbonisation concept with photovoltaics, cascaded heat pumps and efficient battery storage systems.

Our target remains clear: we assume ecological responsibility and make an active contribution to an environment worth inhabiting for future generations.
